A fictional start-up has announced independent verification of its revolutionary cell chemistry by a wholly separate department of itself.

The testing team was granted complete freedom to select whichever result best reflected the company’s ambition.

“We wanted an outside perspective,” said the founder. “So we asked someone who was working from home.”

The cell achieved a record energy density after packaging, terminals and several inconvenient measurements were excluded from the calculation.

Full results will be released following a peer review by the investor relations team.
